AdaFruit ItsyBitsy 32u4 Library

The correct library for the AdaFruit ItsyBitsy 32u4 is the AdaFruit AVR Boards by AdaFruit.

I wanted to document an important piece of information since I couldn't find ANYTHING about the correct libraries for the Arduino Chip I used for Syl’s Bridge Four light up Windrunner Coat, inspired by the Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson.

I used an AdaFruit ItsyBitsy 32u4 and the documentation, was incomplete. I also found that the 3rd party list of Board Managers on GitHub was incomplete too.

So to save you HOURS of your life, I am happy to take one for the team. I will GLADLY share the proper information about the correct library for the AdaFruit ItsyBitsy 32u4 Arduino chip.

I am pretty sure I talked to another fan at a conference recently who ran into the same problem. Hopefully this can save you a great deal of pain. After installing the correct library, I found the documentation on AdaFruit was pretty helpful. The next steps would be to choose your board in Arduino IE and install drivers. Then you’re ready to write a scene to your card, and play with LED’s. I wasted about 3 hours trying to figure this out.

What can I say? You’re welcome!
